Deej McIntosh

Scotland

Pipe bands are a huge part of Deej's life, not only is it his job and privilege to teach drumming across Wester Ross, it is also his passion and has been for over 20 years.

Deej started off in the army cadets, as a student working his way through the SQA award scheme and then went on to teach future cadets. He has played up to grade two and has had many highlights in his twenty years. Playing amongst his peers for Her Majesty the Queen at Balmoral, he has also played all over the world and won World Champion drum corps with Newtongrange Pipe Band in 2013 along other major titles.

Deej McIntosh was also the leading drummer of Ullapool and District in Grade 4b and is now playing with the Ross and Cromarty Pipes and Drums.

Having followed The Big Rab Show for a long time, Deej decided to volunteer and try and help.  He has been an important part of the team for a number of years now.

Some highlights of his time on the team include, the trip to San Fransisco for the Monterey Scottish Games, and the Scots Trad Music Awards in Dundee.

Deej provides coverage at Scottish competitions and events.
