Jim Williamson

Jim Williamson is from Kansas, USA, but let's keep the Dorothy and Toto jokes to a minimum, please. He'll provide news and interviews from across the Atlantic.

Jim first picked up the practice chanter at the tender age of 44. Ever since, piping and drumming have been his gateway to meeting talented people, hearing great music and discovering The Big Rab Show.

Since Kansas is hundreds of miles from everywhere, Jim has competed as a soloist and band member in contests across the American Midwest. However, he did manage to tick off a bucket list item in 2019 by circling up with the Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band at the Worlds.

In his day-to-day life, Jim is a fundraising and grant writing professional for a community mental health clinic.
