Siobhan Naudé
South Africa
Siobhan Naudé is a South African tenor drummer, educator, and pipe band enthusiast with extensive experience across performance, teaching, and solo competition. She is the reigning South African Tenor Drumming Solo Champion and has been actively involved in the local and international pipe band scene for many years.
Siobhan has competed at the highest level of pipe banding, including performing as a Grade 1 tenor drummer at the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland. She is a member of the Transvaal Scottish (The Jocks) Pipe Band, where pipe band is very much a family affair, her father plays bass drum in the same band and has been her biggest inspiration.Â
Alongside competing, Siobhan teaches music and drumming and works closely with youth and developing bands, with a strong focus on musicality, ensemble, and getting everyone to march to the same beat. Whether in the circle or the classroom, she firmly believes that good pipe banding is all about listening, balance and watching your pipe majors foot.
